Hello, beautiful bookies
Wishing you all an awesome week ahead! I might be a little late on announcing this but I’ve decided to participate in 12 Days of Blogmas hosted by the lovely Swetlana over at The Caffeinated Bookworm.
Here are the 12 prompts:
- Day One: A Love Letter To Your Favorite Book Of The Year
- Day Two: 2 Returning Favorites (A Reread you loved as much as you did before)
- Day Three: Top 3 Young Adult Debuts
- Day Four: Top 4 Sequels and/or Series Finales
- Day Five: Top 5 New To You Authors
- Day Six: 6 Disappointing Reads (because I’m sure we’ve all read books this year we wish we would’ve loved more)
- Day Seven: Top 7 Books You Want To Read In 2018 (books that were released before 2018)
- Day Eight: Top 8 Anticipated 2018 Releases
- Day Nine: Top 9 2017 Covers You Absolutely Adored
- Day Ten: Top 10 Books You Would Love To Find Under The Christmas Tree
- Day Eleven: Top 11 Books Read In 2017
- Day Twelve: WinterWonderWichteln Reveal (this is a freebie for you guys!)
As I think twelve straight days of Blogmas can be a little saturating in addition to my other posts coming up, I will be participating three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), which means I’ll be done with the twelve days by Dec. 29th.
If you’re thinking of joining in, please do so! These prompts look really fun ♥ .
Day 1 of Blogmas: A Love Letter to Your Favorite Book of the Year
Dear A Court of Wings and Ruins,
I am seizing this opportunity to express my gratitude that two years ago I happened to come across your older sibling, A Court of Thorns and Roses. An encounter that completely changed my life and thrust me into a path that led me straight to you. What would 2017 have been without you? Without the beautiful words upon your pages that culminated one of the best stories ever written…
Thank you for giving me one of my favorite heroines…
Thank you for teaching us a lesson about overcoming trauma, mental illness and toxic relationships…
Thank you for sending out the much needed message to us women that the first man to show us kindness is not necessarily going to be the only love of our lives…
Thank you for emphasizing the importance of individuality and independence in a romantic relationship…
For portraying the unconditional love and loyalty between sisters…
For proving that family is not always something you’re born into; sometimes it’s something we choose…
And, most importantly, even though you should never apologize for anything, I forgive you…
I forgive you for all the tears of joy and sadness you made me spill…
I forgive you for the Bone Carver’s death…
I forgive you for taking away roughly six hours of sleep so I could finish reading…
I forgive you for every sigh of frustration you made me heave and for every breath you took away…
I forgive you for not giving me enough Nesta and Cassian time…
I forgive you for the Elain+Azriel and Elain-Lucien dilemma…
I forgive you for not giving Helion and Lucien one-on-one time…
I just want you to know that this year you became a very dear book to me, one that will remain in my heart for years to come.
xxx,
B & L

I love how you guys did a much better job on this prompt than me! And I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed ACOWAR so much that you would choose it as your book to feature for today’s prompt!

I absolutely loved the whole ACOTAR series! I loved your post about Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda. I’ve been meaning to read it for a while now and your excitement just hyped me up even more. I’ve heard so many good things about it I might read it before the year is over 😀

Yes, please do! I love when people talk to me about books they’ve picked up reading! I had a blogger live tweet their reactions to Shadowhunters to me after they constantly saw me talk about the show and watched it themselves! It was so much fun to get those tweets!
